Life Goes on — A philosophical perspective on Pieter Bruegal’s “Landscape with the fall of Icarus”

The story of Icarus flying too close to the sun, is one of the most iconic and most memorable tales in all of ancient mythology.

A young boy who was given wings of feathers and wax by the Gods. Icarus thought he could soar higher than any had ever flown before — but, foolishly, flew too close to the sun, and ended up falling to his death when the wax of his wings melted and the feathers caught fire.
