Art, Creativity, and Disillusionment

Isn’t it strange how we all seem to live with this intuition that the world doesn’t quite live up to expectations.

It’s like, no matter what we do — or how much we have — or how much we achieve — we never seem to have enough of what we need. As if the good in this life still doesn’t make up for the bad — or we just feel as if things really should be better by now.

But, this isn’t just about a personal intuition relating to our own individual life. Because we see this kind of innate disillusionment across societies and across generations too.
